Getting rid of the ads on Myspace!

Ok, I know that I can't possibly be the only one whose completely sick of getting on MySpace and seeing half naked girls from "TRUE" (That name is another whole post in of itself!) some other site asking you to "be naughty" or something else that is whorish...

SO... I found a solution! There is a way to block all of the advertisements on MySpace, and I know it works because I use it every day. It make make the toolbar a little smushed (Home - Browse - Search - Invite....), but guys, we're looking to please God in our Internet lives, so we can deal with a smushed toolbar!

Ok, so here you go. The recipe for safe MySpacing-it-out:
1 Mozilla Firefox Browser
1 GreaseMonkey extension for Firefox
1 Upgrade for GreaseMonkey
1 spoonful of desire to glorify God in the way you surf the Internet

Step 1: Open up Mozilla Firefox (It's an Internet browser... like Internet Explorer, but in my opinion, better)
Chances are, you don't have it on your computer yet, so click this link to download it: Download Firefox

Step 2: Firefox is extremely customizable, and one of the beautiful fruits of this characteristic is an extension called GreaseMonkey. You need this in order to get the advertisement off of MySpace: Download GreaseMonkey (You must open this link while running Firefox).

Step 3: Finally, you need to install the "AdSlicer for Myspace" user script. (A user script is a piece of DHTML written for GreaseMonkey to change the way you see sites): Download AdSlicer for Myspace

And there you have it folks! A renewed loved for MySpace, and the wonderful feeling that you just crushed, yet another temptation opportunity of the enemy!

- Jam 1:12 -
"Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him." James 1:12 (NKJV)

I really hope this was helpful!
In Christ's perfect love,
Jamie
